I think it’s pretty safe to say that the world of online beauty shopping is forever expanding with the list of sites to visit continually growing.
What really stands out to me is that need to try new products and brands as well as hard to get hold of products. As a beauty blogger and all round cosmetics junkie, I’m always striving to try the latest innovations and find new holy grail items.
It’s easy to buy the same things over and over especially if you find products that work for you. I’ve been known to gravitate towards certain brands and I’m definitely prone to re-purchasing products that I love. I’m not saying there’s anything wrong with that at all but I think opening yourself up to what’s new or not as easily accessible is definitely the route to go down, especially when you’re having a cheeky browse online.
I recently came across Urban Retreat, which you may be familiar with if you’ve ever had a wander round Harrods. It’s a one-stop destination for all things beauty in the form of a salon where you can get everything done from blow dries to mani/pedi’s and so much more. They’ve launched online and they have a wonderful range of brands to buy from the ever popular NARS to harder to find brands such as Surratt and Unite.
After browsing the site for quite some time (aren’t we all guilty of this?), I came across quite a few exciting products that definitely deserve a mention and I now have my eyes firmly locked on.
Surratt is a brand that I was eyeing up in the US and their brushes are absolutely stunning, this Large Smokey Eye Brush immediately caught my eye because it’s so different to my other eye brushes. Whilst I had not heard of Thalgo before, the products sound lovely! I zoned in on the Indoceane Relaxing Silky Body Milk which has notes of iris and jasmine. Who doesn’t love new body brands?
Unite and their 7 Seconds Conditioner Spray have been big in the beauty world for quite some time and it’s always a product I’ve wanted to try. I have tangled, fine hair that needs a lot of TLC and I can see myself picking this up in the future. I love the Joan Collins Timeless Beauty range, it’s really underrated and I wish it was more widely available. I actually already have The Crystal Mirror which is so old school Hollywood and definitely makes a great present.
Finally, another brand that’s only just come to my attention is Gazelli and in particular the Ultra Nourishing Saviour Mask. I mean anything with the word saviour in it is worth a look, right. It aims to plump, tone and add radiance to the skin and did I mention it’s sold out?
I definitely recommend you step out of your comfort zone and try new and exciting brands/products, after all you may well find some hidden beauty gems.
What hard to find products / new brands have you been eyeing up?
Love, Kate xo
