Two awards ceremonies on each side of the Atlantic? It could only be the BAFTAs and the Grammys right?
Well, the BAFTAs was certainly a wonderful fashion explosion but the Grammys for me, not so much.
Let’s see who made my not-even-prestigious list!
What I love most about Amy’s look is how gorgeously, poker straight her hair was. Its blunt cut really worked well with the dress and gave an edgy take on the almost Egyptian style dress.
Felicity is easily one of my favourite leading ladies – she’s got such grace about her! I loved that she actually wore a top over the dress to give it a classier feel whilst still having an edge.
Rising Star Nominee, Gugu looked beautiful in her lilac Prada number, even if it did have Anne H style nips! I love the fit of the dress and the black detailing that keeps it fresh and youthful.
Golden Globes what? The Mum-to-be shows that she’s moved on from that faux pas and looks effortlessly stylish in this monochrome, floral number. I totally love that she arrived in a leather jacket. Who said maternity style had to be drab?
Not only did the Guardians of the Galaxy star have the best accessory on the night (her gorgeous husband Sam Claflin) but the dress was so ethereal and beautiful! I loved the sheer arms and deep v neck. Her hair looked wonderful off her face too – a truly princess moment for me.
The French star gave me Michelle Williams circa The Oscars 2006 vibes last night in this beautiful mustard coloured dress. The cut was gorgeous and it had a very vintage, 1940’s screen siren feel plus I love red lips with yellow.
Could Reese be morphing into Kate Winslet anymore? I almost had a double take! I love the purple against her blonde locks and I don’t think there was a sexier, more figure hugging dress on the red carpet.
Uh, cannot get enough of Rosamund’s hair this season! I know the dress is a little safe because it’s black but the top half cut that really caught my attention.
Onto the Grammys!
Winner on the night, Mrs Jay Z looked gothically, beautiful in this long laced dress with subtle make up. I loved the green earrings as I’m a sucker for black and green!
I want to know Gwen’s beauty regime! How does she stay so youthful? I loved her effortless up-do and that she didn’t have her signature red lip (the horror!). The jump suit was made for her amazing body and I loved the corset.
Whilst I hate, hate the hair…the dress is killer! How amazing does the dress look with Iggy’s hourglass figure? I love the cut outs and how royal blue it is. Her make up looked flawless, I just wished she’d ditched those unflattering braids.
I must say, I love Katy’s hair this purple! The dress is stunning, I love the beading and fringing with the nude underwear underneath.
Easily, easily the best dressed on the night – I ADORE this teal, Elie Saab number. I don’t think TS could have looked better, the dress was gorgeous and flirty whilst being sophisticated and young. I loved that she wore fuchsia heels too! I definitely want to do a teal eye look now.
Who was your favourite look from the Baftas and the Grammys?
Love, Kate xo
