I can’t believe I’ve not reviewed these Sephora induced purchases!
Tarte is a brand that’s recently come to our fair shores courtesy of QVC but sadly there’s not a large selection of the range currently available. I turned my attention to Sephora who not so long ago, started shipping to the UK. I picked up two of their blushes and they most certainly live up to the hype.
The Amazonian Clay 12hr Blush in Exposed is a very cool toned, pale taupe shade that works perfectly as a contour when applied to the back of the cheeks. This would suit paler skinned gals for sure! I take a small brush, one that fits snug under my cheek bones and in circular motions, blend the powder into my skin to give a more chiseled cheekbone.
For a pop of colour, I had my eye on the Amazonian Clay 12hr Blush in Tipsy for the longest time – in fact I think it was back in 2012 when Anna posted a Top 5 Blushers video. Wow, that was a long time ago! This shade is the perfect bright coral that screams “summer time” – it is very pigmented so you’re best taking a nice fluffy brush and slowly building the colour until you reach the perfect “pop” for your cheeks.
Neither of these shades contain any shimmer but there are other shades available that do if that’s the kind of blush you prefer.
What I love about these blushes, above all else is the staying power that they have. Even on my grease ball face they truly last all day. The blushes are designed for 12 hr wear and the pigmentation simply lasts and lasts which is quite frankly amazing considering I have rather oily skin.
“For oily skin types, Amazonian clay minimizes oil in and around pores to balance skin and keep product in place. Those with dry skin will benefit from the clay’s nourishing and hydrating properties, which naturally restore skin’s moisture. Combination skin types can rely on its ability to zero in on skin concerns and deliver benefits to restore complexion harmony. The result? Blush that wears better, longer, and truer!“
These are pretty much perfect for all skin types and it’s easy to see why there is such a hype around them. I’m sensing a future purchase of a few more shades soon!
Have you tried these? What shades do you love?
Love, Katie xo
