When it comes to beauty, I’m very much swayed by how good a product is and not necessarily the price point. I always think a good place to invest is your skincare and that being said, the drugstore have some fantastic, lower cost, high quality products that I could rave about forever.
However, where does Poundland feature in all of this?
Yes, Poundland where everything is umm…£1.00! You’re probably thinking I’ve lost the plot right? Bare with me. I had these Creightons Squeeky Clean goodies in my ‘to review’ box for a little while, I wasn’t sure how I felt about them. I mean, if they retail for £1.00, what’s the quality going to be like? One thing I will say is that I immediately liked the packaging.
In the end, I took them out and started giving them a go!
Squeeky Clean Scrubaholic Face Scrub (100ml)* (£1.00) – If anything was going to break me out it was going to be this facial scrub but it’s actually very good. The scrub gently exfoliates the skin with a good amount of abrasion and my skin feels silky, baby smooth afterwards. I’ve been using this twice a week and my skin feels much brighter.
Squeeky Clean Movie Matte Photo Finish Moisturiser (100ml)* (£1.00) – This was a shock to me, how can such a cheap brand be coming out with a matte moisturiser? I mean, sure I expected a standard moisturiser but this was such a lovely surprise. It has a fresh, fruity scent and melts into the skin with ease and after approximately 60 seconds, my skin is left soft and hydrated but matte without being drying. I’ve been reaching for this more often than not and it sits really well underneath make up.
Squeeky Clean Glow Stopper Instant Tan (100ml)* (£1.00) – Firstly, this does not smell like tan in anyway as it has the subtle fruity scent that the rest of the range seems to have. It’s quite a dark lotion that needs to be blended into the skin quickly but once you get the gist of it, the skin is left tinted and radiant. I’d be careful with your clothing, as with any wash-off tan you’re gonna stain.
I am so pleasantly surprised by this brand and I’m still scratching my head as to how they’ve managed to make such lovely products for such a low price point. Not only that but they’re 100ml each which are really generous sizes.
Have you tried any of these?
Love, Kate xo
