Rimmel Salon Pro by Kate in Hip Hop – £4.49
I’ve been a bit naughty the past few days – I’m thinking 8 new nail polishes is a tad excessive?
One of the polishes I picked up was one of the new Kate Moss polishes by Rimmel. These are the Salon Pro formula of which I picked up another 2 from the original line. I’ve always liked Rimmel polishes especially their Lycra Pro and 60 Seconds formulas. However, that being said I’ve not picked up a polish from them for a while now. Boots had a buy one get one half price offer on and I had a few points vouchers so I went a little crazy.
I’m not usually one for bright red nails, I find them a bit witchy and they don’t really suit me. Hip Hop could be easily mistaken for a bright red but actually I’d say it was leaning towards to pinker side of life. The Salon Pro formula is what you’d expect from a salon – long lasting wear, chip resistance, gel like finish and anti-fade. I’ve had this shade on my nails since Friday and they’ve lasted so well. Barely any chipping to be seen and the colour hasn’t faded at all. It’s one of those shades where you find yourself gazing longingly at your nails. I love the brush too, it’s the right amount of thickness to cover the nail and the consistancy is good too, I need 2 coats to make it truly opaque but one coat would work fine.
