Real Techniques Nic’s Picks

As you’ll know by now, I’m a huge Real Techniques fan!

I don’t think there’s a more affordable, high quality brush brand out there right now. It makes me so proud that Sam and Nic have created such an amazing, well loved brand because I’ve been in awe of their videos for years.
Earlier this year, I bought the Sam’s Picks set mainly to have duplicate brushes and try a few that I hadn’t already bought. Can’t beat a bit of old and new!
This month the Nic’s Picks set came out and I was so excited to try it because it comes with 3 new, set exclusive brushes! Furthermore, the brushes have a gorgeous metallic silver handle which immediately caught my eye. Hubba hubba.
This delightful set comes with 5 full size brushes and as I’ve mentioned 3 are exclusive to the set – the  Cheek Brush, Angled Shadow Brush and Eyeliner Brush. The other two brushes have previously been released and these are the Duo-Fiber Face Brush and the Base Shadow Brush.
Of the brushes, the only one I already owned was the Duo-Fiber Face Brush which I purchased with the Duo-Fiber trio last year. Being the super lovely daughter I am, I gave my Mum my old one!
I absolutely love these limited edition sets and I could’t recommend this one more. It would make an amazing Christmas gift and it’s perfect for those who love brushes or are starting out with brushes.
What’s great about these is that you have a brush for everything, you could definitely slap your make up on with each brush and not really need to use anything else.
Of the new additions, I particularly love the Cheek Brush as it’s cut to the perfect size for blush and contour. I’d definitely give this a whirl for applying foundation too. These brushes are great because they’re synthetic and can be used with powder and cream alike. The Eyeliner Brush is equally fantastic because it’s well sized to fill in the brows and top lash line whilst giving a good amount of control.
I bought my set from Escentual for the impressive price of £25.40! If you’re interested in this set then I’d definitely recommend picking it up pronto to avoid disappointment.
I may be picking up a set for a certain milestone giveaway that I hope to hit soon!
What’s your favourite Real Techniques brush?
Love, Kate xo
