I’ve tried a few offerings from Sweden’s equivalent to Avon, Oriflame and been really impressed. I delved into the world of foundations with their Perfect Fusion Foundation* designed to provide good coverage whilst letting the skin breathe and feel hydrated and light.
I picked the shade Ivory which is probably a little light for me but once blended you can’t really tell. The problem I had with this foundation was the initial blending – I really struggled to apply. I tried numerous brushes, soft buffing brushes, harder/denser brushes but it still was a pain to apply. It felt really thick and it took a lot of elbow grease to work into the skin as it felt like the foundation did not want to move at all. It wasn’t a seamless process as I’d hoped. This issue has happened each time I’ve used the foundation.
Once I eventually am able to get the product where it needs to be, the coverage is medium to high depending on how much foundation is used. I use probably 1-1.5 pumps per use which gives me a pretty high coverage which is great for the days where your face isn’t as fresh as you’d like. Hello Monday morning.
The finish is quite natural and dewy so powder is essential especially if you’re an oiler skinned gal like myself. Drier skin types could probably skip powder in this case. I do feel it’s quite light on the skin once all the hard grafting is done and the wear time is pretty good as it lasts most of the day.
The bottle needs a mention for the genius twist-lock top which means there’s absolutely no spillage!
You can purchase this foundation from Oriflame’s online store for a reasonable £8.95 at present (usually £11.45).
What kind of coverage do you prefer?
Love, Katie xo
