Sleek Makeup is fast becoming a drugstore favourite brand and it’s easy to see why – they have a vast range of products for all skin types whether it’s bold, neutral, metallic or matte…there’s something for everyone.
They recently launched their Lip VIP Lipsticks* (£5.50) which come in 6 gorgeous shades – I did have 6 but alas I’ve misplaced the nude offering, Private Booth. Doh! These are semi-matte lipsticks with incredible pigment and a velvet finish. They have Vitamin E, Shea Butter and Coconut Oil for added nourishment and keep the lipsticks comfortable on the lips.
I found the majority of the shades applied nicely on me bar Reserved and Flaunt It which too a little more effort to get an even finish but all in all they’ve got great colour pay-off. In terms of re-applying, they do last well on the lips but I’ve found the best method is to take the shade off completely and re-apply from scratch as I found the texture to get a little bobbly as it wore off but that doesn’t bother me too much.
Hold up…that’s not all folks. There are two new i-Divine Eyeshadow Palettes* (£7.99) coming in February that are both gorgeous! If Sleek are known for anything, it’s their eyeshadows and these definitely fit the bill. I was pleasantly surprised with these palettes and whilst some of the formulas aren’t as good as others, the majority of the shades (especially the shimmers) have a great colour pay-off and a nice, buttery formula. The new shades are A New Day and All Night Long which have a lovely mix of matte and shimmer with varying tones of neutral. I’ve gravitated towards the All Night Long palette because a lot of the shades have a slight olive tone which I love and works really well with my colourings.
Have you tried anything from Sleek?
Love, Kate xo
