Make Up Revolution is a brand that’s been taking the blogosphere by storm in recent months with their affordable range of products.

Today I’m reviewing the Ultra Blush & Contour Palette in Sugar and Spice* which contains 8 highly pigmented powders – 2 contour, 5 blush and 1 highlight.
Firstly, the packaging is sleek and comes with a huge mirror inside so it’s super handy if you’re on the go. It’s also very sturdy which is perfect for the clumsy gal such as myself.
The shades are all absolutely beautiful and vivid with serious pigmentation so I’d recommend starting with a little product and building up the colour. I definitely didn’t do that, hence the vibrant cheeks! There’s a blush shade for all skin tones in the palette which is what I really like about it. The contour shades are slightly too warm toned for my skin tone but there’s a lighter and darker option depending on your colouring.

These shades are all matte and blend beautifully into the skin. They’re very long lasting too which is brilliant considering the price point of the palette (£6). The two shimmery shades, one of which is a highlighter, are equally as lovely as their matte counterparts. The highlight shade is unlike any other highlighter I’ve used, it’s very pale and blue toned without a hint of champagne at all. I thought it might be a little unflattering on me but I applied a small amount and it added a lovely radiance to my skin which was a lovely contrast to the matte cheeks.

I’m really impressed by the quality of this palette and there’s a shade for every occasion and skin tone.  I’d expected there to be a ‘dud’ shade but I like all the shades in there. It’s also not often that you find blusher palettes in the drugstore, I think the only ones that come to mind are from Sleek.
I shall be back tomorrow with another Make Up Revolution post – which will be an eyeshadow palette which as you can guess, are featured in this post.
I’m happy to say that Make Up Revolution is coming to a Superdrug near you shortly but for now the brand is available online!
Love, Kate xo
