Look Incredible Beauty Box (January 2016)

I recently received the January beauty box from Look Incredible* which boasts a lovely variety of well known, higher end brands.

The box retails at £18.99 per month (plus £2.50 pp) with the promise of 5 full size products each month – no travel or sample sizes in sight. I much prefer these kind of boxes that are a little more expensive but completely rewarding, which to me makes for a much better beauty box.

This months box includes 5 exciting products, all from brands I know and love which makes it extra special. The value of the box is a whopping £87.49 which just shows how much you’re getting for your money.

Laura Geller Baked Impressions Blush in Mocha Mauve (£10)

I’ve really been getting into Laura Geller recently, I absolutely adore their Gelato Swirl blushers and highlighters so I was excited to receive one of their other blushers in such a universal shade. I really love these, neutral colours that suit all skin types and make up looks. This one is a lovely tone and blends effortlessly on the cheeks giving just the right amount of colour. The packaging is sturdy and it comes with a handy mirror, perfect for on-the-go application.

Yves Saint Laurent Lip Twins (£24.99)

When I opened the box, I did think to myself ‘what in the heckidy heck is this shiny tube’ but then I twisted it and found there to be two YSL lip colours inside. Pretty snazzy huh? I’d never heard of these but I do think they’re an adorable idea. I wasn’t sure what to make of the product until I swatched the shades, which are gorgeous neutrals with a twist (get it) and found that they were a gorgeous texture and colour pay off. One is a satin finish, the other is a ‘brilliant shine’. I can’t wait to get using this as it’s perfect to throw in your bag.

Bare Minerals Flawless Lash Mascara (£17)

The first of two Bare Minerals products in the box is their Flawless Lash Mascara – aimed to separate and define each lash with no clumps. I do love trying mascaras even though I’m a complete lash convert so I’m excited to try this and see if it works with my lashes.

Bare Minerals Redness Remedy (£27)

I’ve not really been one for Bare Minerals skincare products as I much prefer products that have a wet formula so I’m not sure how I’ll get on with this redness reducing powder but it aims to sooth and minimise redness and imperfections. The brush it comes with is definitely more down my street and I can see me using this to apply my make up.

Essie Steeling The Scene Nail Polish (£8.50)

Finally, we have a gorgeous shimmery Essie polish – who doesn’t love Essie polishes? They’re quite a cult favourite. This shade is a beautiful iridescent gold with a silver duo chromed feel. I think this is the perfect shade for the winter months, especially if you like to jazz things up.

So there you have it, the January edition of Look Incredible’s new beauty boxes. I was really impressed with the items in the box and I liked that there was a nice mix of products – some make up, skincare and nails to be tried.

Would you try this box?

Love, Kate
