Look Fantastic Beauty Box | May 2016

Look Fantastic is one of the premier beauty retailers online and they launched a beauty box quite some time ago to a great reaction. I was kindly sent this month’s box to review and knowing the wonderful brands the stock, I was rather excited when it came. Before I get into the products I received, I want to give you a low-down on what the box entails.

Like other beauty box brands, it operates on a subscription basis 3 months (at £13.33 per box), 6 months (at £12.50 per box) or 12 monthly (at just £11.25 per box) with the option to cancel or renew at any time. If that isn’t your bag then you can purchase monthly for £15 per box.

This month’s #LFHelloBeautiful Box* comes with a free copy of Elle Magazine as well as over £50 worth of goodies. What’s great about these LF boxes is that everyone gets the majority of the same products but some variations from each brand. For example, in this box there’s 3 options for the Decléor samples.

ren-skincare

The box is very skincare focused this month, with products from Decléor, Eve Lom and REN being the main focus. I love REN and I was excited to receive their Wake Wonderful Night-Time Facial* in a travel friendly 10ml. Facial and night time are two words that I could get used to. To be used post night cleanse, this is an overnight treatment aimed to brighten and refine skin tone, repair skin cells and reduce pigmentation. It works in 3-phases: exfoliation, revitalise and hydrate.  I’m excited to try this as it sounds perfect for my skin!

Carrying on the skincare goodness is the IOMA Optimum Moisture Cream* which comes in a handy 7-day trial with each day in its own little pod. I opened it up and thought I’d picked up my contact lenses at first! IOMA is a new brand to me, having never heard of it before this box. I love finding new brands so I was glad LF included a lesser known brand in the box. I’m intrigued to try this and can definitely see myself taking it with me on a weekend away.

The box also includes a sachet of Eve Lom Cleanser* which I’ve tried before and rather liked. I think this is an additional sample as the accompanying magazine does not mention it. I like that it comes with a muslin cloth.

Vichy is one of my favourite French skincare brands and the box contains a LiftActiv Supreme Moisturiser* which is formulated to tone and firm the skin. I’ve never found a Vichy product I don’t like so I’m excited to give this one a whirl. I find you get a lot in these smaller pots that go a long way, plus it smells amazing.

Finally, on the skincare front is a Decléor Nutrition Cream* which is to nourish and protect the skin. My Mum’s a huge fan of the brand so I suspect this will end up in her stash.

My favourite product in the box was actually the Revlon Uniq One Coconut Hair Treatment* as a few of my friends swear by it. It’s essentially a 10-in-1 spray to nourish, detangle, smooth, heat protect and repair the hair, amongst other benefits. I can’t wait to use this!

The final product in the box was a Wet Brush*, which is worth £8.99 on it’s own. I already have one of these and they’re fantastic for brushing the hair both wet and dry without pulling or snagging.

I’m impressed with the products I received in the box despite a lot of them being skincare based. As a skincare fan, it worked for me. The addition of the hair products was great as I know they are both fantastic products.

Have you tried the LF boxes?

Love, Kate xo
