I’ve never tried a fragrance from Kim Kardashian despite having a massive girl crush on the lady. Pure Honey* is Kim’s fifth fragrance that she’s released and whilst I’d heard quite good things about them, I’m very fussy when it comes to celebrity fragrances.
Lets start with the bottle – I think the shape is lovely and it feels good quality plus the little bumble bee is a cute touch. The bottle top is nicely secure too, I hate when lids pop off all the time.
At first, I wasn’t too keen on the scent – it felt a little “old” for me and not in a sophisticated way. I found at first it can be a little overwhelming but once it calms down a little, it’s a much softer scent.
“Be as intoxicating and irresistable as Aphrodite. An enticing scent that draws people to you like bees to blooms. An alluring blend of raw wild honey and voluptuous fl orals, Pure Honey harnesses the legendary aphrodisiac power of honey to bring you Kim Kardashian’s most sensual fragrance yet. Aphrodite, goddess of love, used honey as her own personal nectar. Kim’s borrowed the nectar of the gods to make a fragrance as golden and radiant as she is, for a little taste of heaven. A tantalising floral gourmand fragrance that opens with a shimmering top note of vivacious red rose and soft freesia, Pure Honey guarantees instant attraction. Nectar rich floral combines with a pure honey note heart from the Breche Abeilles Absolute Orpur honeycomb for a feminine, playful collage, while the creamy, rich finish of coconut, vanilla, and musk rounds out the delicious scent.”
After trying the perfume a few more times, I’ve actually grown to really enjoy it – it does have a certain allure about it. I’m pleasantly surprised by this perfume – it doesn’t smell cheap in anyway and whilst it does need to calm a little, I have found myself picking it up quite regularly.
I’m usually a muskier kinda gal but I’ve been using this throughout the day and it lasts really nicely on the skin. I wouldn’t say it was an evening scent but I guess when you wear it is entirely up to you.
You can purchase this from just £24/30ml at Debenhams.
Love, Katie xo
