Kiko Milano Modern Tribes

I must say, Kiko Cosmetics are on a bit of a roll at the moment – everything looks so beautiful and their limited edition products have such fab themes and colours. So, naturally the Modern Tribes collection keeps that momentum going.

“Alluring colours, ancient rituals and tribal symbols evoke the grandeur of modern, noble warriors. These are the protagonists of Modern Tribes, the new summer collection by KIKO MILANO.
Surrounded by the colours of the earth, a bold and enchanting femininity shines. At its heart, there’s energy, curiosity and the ability to be constantly connected to a global and multiethnic world. A soul that’s instinctive and independent yet grows and improves by sharing urban looks, ideas and lifestyles with her own tribe.
The complexion recalls the warmth of the sun on your skin. The bronzed effect frames deep and penetrating eyes, intensified by delicate and shiny nuances. The lips are full and enhanced by radiant shades.
The five senses are pleasantly stimulated by the new eaux de toilette, which immerse you in suggestive, intense and intriguing emotions.
The elegant wood cases with clean lines and gold decorations embody the collection’s tribal soul.”
First up is the Essential Bronzer in Sienna Melange* (£17.90) which screams dresser-top gorgeous right? This enormous bronzer might not be handbag friendly but it’s definitely perfect for the warmer months! I will say it’s super pigmented, so a little goes a long way and you can over apply it. I think it will be gorgeous with a tan as it is quite warming on the skin whilst adding a lifted radiance. It blends really well too!

My favourite of the bunch is the Graphic Ritual Kajal Eyeliner in Touch Turquoise (£5.90) which I am 100% besotted with and have been using every day since I got it. It’s the most gorgeously pigmented turquoise that I love applying on my water line for a spring/summer appropriate flash of colour. It’s a great way of wearing colour without stepping too far out of your comfort zone. It’s very creamy yet stays in place all day.

The Free Spirit Lips & Cheeks Pencil in Illusion Red (£8.90) is an enormous pencil that thankfully comes with an equally huge sharpener – good thinking Kiko! The shade is a bright, pink toned red which is super easy to apply without going ‘out of the lines’ so to speak. It’s very creamy and comfortable on the lips and wears well. For cheeks, I found it blended really well and left me with a pink pop on my cheeks. I do, however think I prefer it as a lip product as it seems to sheer out my foundation underneath.

What do you think of the new collection?
