HALO HAIR + FABB EVENTS : HAIR EVENT

Well hello there! I’ve been a tad lapsy daisy with posting but I’ve decided to post every day in December – I’ll try make it as festive as I can but I have lots of products that I’ve been reviewing that need their day in the sun.

Last Sunday afternoon I went to an exciting secret event organised by FABB Events in partnership with Halo Hair. I received a cryptic email invite earlier in November from the ladies at FABB, Tor and Ray inviting me along to the event on 24th November. No real details were given to add to the excitement and I was required to send a picture of my hair about a week before. The funniest part of this was that I’d recently done my hair pink!

I arrived at White Cloth Gallery in Leeds city centre for the event – it’s a lovely art gallery and has a snazzy bar as you go in. I was a little nervous as it was my first brand focused event and I arrived solo! I’m quite a confident person but for the first 5 minutes of meeting people I can be rather quiet. Luckily, the ice was broken quickly over the gorgeous cupcakes that were on offer!

We started with a lovely chat from John (Managing Director) about Halo Hair and their fabulous ‘Halo‘ piece which is a quadruple weft of real Indian remy hair on a wire. I wore extensions back in my sixth form days but in recent years I’ve ditched them but I’ve never tried hair on a wire so I was immediately intrigued. The halo’s have life time guarantees so if your wire snaps or it falls apart, you get it either repaired or replace free of charge.

Then we ventured into another room where we had goodie bags with our names on which included our very own Halo’s, shampoo/conditioner and hair clips. Plus some old school flying saucers! There were two hairstylists on hand to show us how to use our Halo’s and style our hair. I was advised when I first got there that as my hair is pink my hair couldn’t be matched up but that I could dye the hair to match my pink ‘do. So I had my hair styled regardless, hence the reverse ombré look shown above – pretty 80s right?

I had such a lovely afternoon with some fellow bloggers who were all really lovely and approachable. Thanks so much to FABB Events for inviting me and to Halo Hair for their generous goodie bags!

I dyed my Halo as soon as I got home using BLEACH London’s Rose Super Cool Colour and it dyed beautifully. I was really impressed with the quality of the hair and how easily it dyed and curled. I instantly fell in love with the hair and feel like a mermaid!

Another note to make is that I somehow managed to break my tightening string – of course I was devastated but Halo Hair were beyond helpful, I sent my hair back on Tuesday evening and it was returned to me with a new string on Friday morning. How’s that for fantastic customer service.

Would anyone like to see a tutorial on how I style and use my Halo?
