I’m all about the clip-in extensions at the moment, I don’t think there’s a day that goes by that I haven’t clipped them in, giving me much more hair than I currently have.
Today I’m discussing the I&K Clip-In 18” Human Hair Extensions (£62.99)* from HairTrade which I received in the shade 20 which is a slightly darkish, golden blonde. The colour match wasn’t great so I silver shampooed the hair to get rid of any coppery, warm tones. It doesn’t match my hair 100% but they do blend nicely for a slightly darker, more autumnal colour.
What’s great about these clip-ins is that not only are they human hair (which means you can style them without fear) but that they are relatively fine in texture. My hair is extremely fine and some extensions can look really obvious, whereas these blend much better than some of the other brands I’ve used before. There are quite a few wefts in the pack, along with 2 extra single pieces just in case.

I especially like the single pieces because you can really frame your face with them where required. Some extensions only have one, maybe two single pieces so it’s nice to have the option of using more.
The quality of these extensions is very good, they’re soft and don’t get too knotty which is great. I find the best way to brush through extensions is to start at the bottom and work your way up, that way you don’t drag on the hair. There’s minimal, if any shedding and they keep their softness well, even after washing. I’d wash these once every 4-5 weeks, depending on how much they are used and it’s best to use nourishing, moisturising shampoo/conditioner when doing so.
I’m very impressed with these extensions and they’re a nice alternative to my much brighter extensions. I find myself using them more often than not because they really give my hair a nice autumnal feel. The price point is great too as they’re much cheaper than many of the other brands out there. Plus you can get a 14” set for £44.99.
I also recommend you check out the HairTrade website as they have not only extensions but hair pieces, wigs etc. So if you’re into experimenting, it’s definitely worth a look.
Have you worn clip-ins?
Love, Kate xo
