I’ve recently become a Lush addict and that goes hand in hand with my love for relaxing baths. So, with that in mind, I thought I’d give you a rundown of which bath bombs to pick up, consider or skip entirely….
THE PRETTY BATH – ROSE BOMBSHELL (£3.50)
This bath bomb gives me American Beauty vibes as it has petals cocooned inside which release as it fizzes and turns your bath a pretty baby pink shade. The scent isn’t overwhelming, it’s quite relaxing and the entire thing is nicely softening. The rose petals tend to stick to your entire body but for a pretty bath I’ll forgive them!
THE MOST SOFTENING GOODNESS EVER – BUTTERBALL (£2.65)
I’ve had about 5 of these in the last few weeks which says that I am besotted! Now, if you’re expecting foamy goodness, you’ll be disappointed as there’s a slight milky consistency and not much more. I like to mix this with the Comforter Bubble Bar to make it more exciting but it’s perfect on it’s own for a super softening experience that smells incredible. It’s brilliant on irritated, dry skin and the ylang ylang helps de-stress and relieve anxiety.
THE SUPER-FIZZY ONE – DRAGON’S EGG (£3.35)
I felt like this one had all the hype and only partial pay off. It fizzes and dissolves for a good 3/4 minutes before leaving you with a super bubbly golden bath. The only downside is that the golden bath looks like urine which is a little off putting. It does smell lovely however as it’s got a citrusy kick to it.
THE ONE THAT DOES IT ALL – AVOBATH (£3.35)
I wish I had picked up a couple of these because the minute I saw this bomb doing it’s magic, I knew it would be a favourite. In the same way that Butterball gives the skin a major softening experience, Avobath does the same with a fantastic mix of avocado and olive oil. It smells delightful and it makes your bath a gorgeous bright green with a light frosting of bubbles.
THE SUPER-SCENTY ONE – TWILIGHT (£3.35)
One of their most popular bath bombs with it’s beautiful, deep colours and relaxing properties. I loved the colour and feel of this but the scent was a bit too overwhelming for me to really feel the benefit of it.
THE ONE TO SKIP ENTIRELY – SAKURA (£3.35)
Easily the prettiest of the bunch but sadly the biggest disappointment. I expected a lovely array of pinks and greens but the colour didn’t really translate into the bath. The scent was packaged as a cherry blossom, floral offering but it didn’t do anything for me at all.
There are loads more bath bombs available from Lush so these are just a small minority!
Which bath bombs are you loving?
