I caved. I got sucked into the hype surrounding the Emma Hardie cleanser and you know what? I don’t even care.
I took a sneaky trip to Space NK, which is always dangerous for me. The phrases ‘ooh pretty‘ often leave my mouth and my bank balance often takes a beating on my way out of the store. My latest trip was well planned – get in and get out. Alas, I did spend time oogling the make up counters, going back and forth whilst having a heated internal debate with myself. Luckily the shade of Laura Mercier Silk Creme Foundation I’d found myself needing was out of stock so it didn’t come home with me but the last cleanser in the store sure did.
As I write this post, I’ve noticed that its so out of stock it’s on back order and won’t be available until 6th July at the earliest. That’s crazy!
I’ve been trying the Rodial Cleansing Balm since receiving a healthy sized sample last month. I usually go for foamy or creamy cleansers but I’m a converted balm kinda gal now. I honestly can’t believe how quickly and efficiently my make up, including mascara is removed. I start by taking a small amount in my hands with a small amount of water and rub my hands together before massaging slowly into my skin for 2-3 minutes. This part is my favourite, it’s so therapeutic to work the product into the skin! Then, taking a warm, damp muslin cloth I remove what’s left on my face. I’m left with seriously plump, deeply cleansed but hydrated skin. It’s also very radiant after, I almost forget to finish my skincare routine on a night.
I can see this being holy grail for me but alas there is one little teeny flaw. The packaging is an absolute nightmare – the lid doesn’t stay on properly and it leaks.
See, you can’t have a perfect product!
Who else has tried this?
