Elemis was one of the first higher-end skincare brands that I tried when I decided I needed to look after my skin. That was a few years ago now and I’ve tried quite a few products from the brand and hen people ask what brands to try, I always have Elemis on my list because I’ve always been impressed.
What I love most is that Elemis do a wide-range of amazing skincare sets that are great value for money. The Dynamic Resurfacing Collection* (£54.50) is worth £135 and comes complete with a fantastic travel bag which is very handy and compact. The skincare items within the travel bag are really great too. This collection was previously called Tri-Enzyme but as the brand has had a bit of a facelift (pun intended), so have the collections.
There’s a complete skincare step-by-step routine in the kit which makes for a wonderful starter kit for those who are seeking out anti-ageing targeted products. You don’t have to be of a certain age to invest in anti-ageing products, I say the earlier you start, the better. I’m 27 and I can definitely see the signs of ageing beginning and I’m desperate to keep my skin in tip-top condition for as long as possible.
The Dynamic Resurfacing Facial Wash is a full 200ml and comes in an easy to use pump bottle. The product works well at not only cleansing the face but gently exfoliating the skins surface to reveal much smoother, more radiant skin. I think these washes with added exfoliating properties are a great find because you only have to use one product rather than forking out for two.
Treatment wise, the kit includes their Dynamic Resurfacing Gel Mask (30ml) which I have tried before and really enjoyed. It’s a quick 10 minute mask that creates a tingling sensation on the face but do not be alarmed, it’s just working it’s magic. Not only does it aid the skin in feeling smoother and more refined it also works well in reducing sebum (which causes breakouts) and leaving the skin feeling radiant. I like using this when my skin feels a little clogged up and needs a reset.
I love that there are two moisturisers in this set – one for day and one for night and thankfully both are lovely. The Hydra-Boost Day Cream (full size) is a great morning cream for perking the skin up and giving it a literal boost of hydration – I can really feel this working and it’s nicely cooling on the skin. Strangely, it takes longer to sink in than the Dynamic Resurfacing Night Cream (30ml) but I don’t mind that as I’m not one for blathering myself in cream on a night. It’s actually because I know it will end up in my hair as I throw myself about the bed trying to get to sleep. It’s aim is to reduce fine lines and imperfections and whilst I’m not 100% sure this has happened so far, I’m optimistic that it will continue to do my skin the world of good.
The kit is available from Debenhams now.
