Current Foundation Wardrobe

top-5-foundations
Since purchasing some Muji storage a few weeks back, I’ve found it’s really helped me use a variety of products rather than reaching for the same things day in, day out. This has resulted in a plethora of base products that I rotate on a daily basis.
First up we have Bourjois Happy Light which I’d totally neglected for a while – don’t you find you do that when you buy another foundation that you like? This is lovely, especially for the summer as it’s lightweight and it leaves a dewy, radiant finish. The coverage lies between light and medium depending on how much you build it up. Plus it smells nice.
Ah Chanel Perfection Lumiere Velvet, this stuff is just sublime. I adore Chanel foundations, they always impress and I think this is my favourite of them all. It’s got the perfect texture, really velvety and blends in like a dream. Again, like the Bourjois one it’s a light to medium coverage giving a semi-matte finish that’s ridiculously flawless.
Probably the most natural finish of them all is Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk which can be worn super sheer or built up for a medium coverage. The pump dispenses just the right amount of product and it blends in with ease but it is a little heavier than the Chanel and Bourjois.
The most full coverage of the bunch is Laura Mercier Silk Creme which is my go-to night out base for sure. It’s very pigmented and thick so only a small amount is required to cover the whole face. I find a much denser brush applies this best, once you get buffing it really does leave the most beautiful, flawless finish. Plus it’s super long wearing!
Finally, Bourjois Perfect 123 CC Cream – this was a surprise hit for me as I’m not really a tinted moisturiser/BB – CC cream kinda gal. It’s the perfect “sunday face” in a bottle, very light and gives enough coverage to leave you feeling fresh faced and covers any redness.
What base products are you loving at the moment?
