I was delighted to be invited to a little masterclass at Bobbi Brown the other week, myself and about 10 other bloggers sat and watched a lovely LFW demonstration from the talented and lovely Rina.
The look was a sixties winged liner and nude lip that looked so beautiful.
Bobbi Brown is such an iconic brand that’s always remained very natural and women of all ages and skin tones seem to migrate to. I’ve not used many of their products before, the odd few I’ve stolen from my Mum, so of course I ended up leaving the event with a reduced bank balance.
Rina kindly emailed across the products she used for the look and it’s safe to say that the Pot Rouges are on my wish list.
“I cleaned and prepped the skin first of all using the Soothing Cleansing Oil, Hydrating Face Tonic, Hydrating Eye Cream and Hydrating Face Cream. Our moisturisers are packed with primers so they are perfect to use under make up.
For the base I used a Corrector and Creamy Concealer to brighten and conceal any under eye darkness. I used the Skin Foundation SPF 15 in a skin tone correct shade all over the face and I set the base with a Sheer Finish Pressed Powder.
I primed the eyelids using Long-Wear Eye Base before sweeping White Eye Shadow all over from lash to brow. I then used the Long-Wear Gel Eyeliner in Black Ink along the top lash line using the Ultra Fine Liner Brush. I ran the Smokey Eye Kajal Liner in Noir along the water line and finished the eye off with a couple of coats of Smokey Eye Mascara.
I finished off the look with a little bit of a colour on the cheekbones using the Pot Rouge in Uber Beige and kept the lips pale and neutral with Rich Lip Colour in Uber Beige. “
It was a lovely event and we were kindly all given little samples of the Extra Repair Moisture Cream and Extra Repair Eye Cream – the latter of which I’ve been using on a night and really enjoying. There was also a sachet of their Skin Foundation SPF 15 to use too.
I ended up browsing the counter for a good 15-20 minutes before I caved and decided to purchase the Illuminating Bronzing Powder in Pink Peony from the Uber Pink Collection along with a Sheer Powder Brush.
Then I promptly left before any further damage could be done. Thankfully the Nectar and Nude Collection wasn’t yet available otherwise I’d have gone completely mad.
Thanks again to Rina for inviting us all, I had a lovely time and I think it’s sparked off a new found love affair with Bobbi Brown – which may or may not be a good thing!
What Bobbi Brown products do you recommend?
Love, Katie xo
