As I am currently laid in my room, wishing I’d invest in a fan…I was suddenly inspired to write a post.
I know I’ve been a bit hit/miss over recent months and I wish I could say it won’t happen again because I know it will – life has sadly gotten in the way and to be quite honest, I think I’ve lost my mojo.
Anyway, back to the real subject of the post – the heatwave is upon us and I for one have often looked at myself by lunchtime and wondered if I had forgotten to apply my make up in the morning! I think I’ve found the trick and it’s all thanks to Benefit Cosmetics.
I’ve openly said in the past that I haven’t been a huge fan of The Porefessional* (£24.50) but I have seriously grown to love this product. By using the smallest amount and sweeping it across the face – note, don’t rub it in as the product can “bobble” – you’re left with a smooth, oil-free base for your foundation. I use this daily and I honestly couldn’t be without it. It really adds to the longevity of my make up!
Alongside their best-selling primer, there is a new kid on the block in the form of – Licence to Blot* (£15.50) an instant oil-blotting stick that uses tiny blotting spheres to banish the shine within an instant. It’s great for on-the-go application or for targeting those nightmare areas such as the nose, chin and forehead. I like to use this in conjunction with The Porefessional for a double-whammy of shine resistance.
The product I’m enjoying the most is Agent Zero Shine* (£23.50) – the most handy, travel friendly powder I’ve ever come across. It’s all compact in this tube with a portable brush (which I adore!) and the powder is dispensed into the lid. It really does keep my shine at bay and my face firmly in place.
It’s been pretty darn fantastic being able to still see make up on my face in this blistering heat!
Bravo Benefit, bravo.
What are you using to keep your face in place?
Love, Kate xo
