Introducing Beauté Mediterranea

beaute-mediterranea

I love trying new beauty brands and I was recently introduced to Beauté Mediterranea, a Spanish skin and haircare brand that is cosmeceutically driven. I love the concept of the brand and how it bridges the gap between cosmetics and pharmaceuticals meaning that their products are made with medical formulas and active ingredients.

The line has now become available in the UK via Mitonia and there’s a wide range of products for all skin concerns. I have two products from the brand, both from their moisturising collection.

Firstly, I love the pharmacy vibe to the packaging which feels very high quality and very different to the usual styles I see from skincare brands. There is a distinct blue colour theme for this particular line, making it easy to distinguish the different skin concerns.

I have been using the High Tech Hyaluronic Complex Cream* (£32) daily for a little while now and I’ve been really impressed. I find the scent particularly enjoyable as it reminds me of chocolate, not in a cocoa way nor is it overpowering – I find it really soft and it’s been encouraging me to continue using it. Scent aside, this is a lovely product which really benefits my skin giving it a much more moisturised, smooth and I’ve seen a difference in it’s elasticity since using this cream. Whilst it is moisturising based – it gives an all round better texture and firmness to the skin which I think would benefit most skin types. It sinks in nicely and doesn’t leave a greasy film on the skin either.

The High Tech Hylauronic Eye Contour Cream* (£34.50) has been equally enjoyable to use, with it’s easy dispense tube that provides the right amount of product for the eye area. Like it’s cream counterpart, the eye cream gives a good amount of moisture and tightens the under eye leaving a soft, satin finish. I’ve found this works well with my concealer, as I’ve had no issues with creasing or blending. It’s aim is to reduce the appearance of wrinkles and improve elasticity and it also contains shea butter, argan oil and a soft focus agent to give a blurring effect, softening the look of wrinkles.

Both these products are paraben-free and have a great combination of on-trend medical techniques and good quality ingredients. I’m really impressed by the brand and can definitely see myself trying more in the future as they are both so lovely to use and give nice results.

What is your current favourite skincare brand?
