Someone’s jumped on the Reve de Miel train huh?
My lips have been really sore and dry over the past few weeks and my Burt’s Bee’s Mango Lip Butter just hasn’t been cutting it. I made two cheeky purchases from the Nuxe Reve de Miel line simply because I’d smelt the Lip Balm in M&S once and didn’t really like the scent so I thought the Lip Moisturising Stick might be more my thang as it was honey scented.
I’ll say it now, the stick has absolutely nothing on the balm at all. That’s not to say the stick isn’t nice but the balm is just, well out of this world really.
I began using the Lip Moisturising Stick, I really like the honey and sunflower scent and it feels nice on the lips but I felt I was constantly re-applying it because it just didn’t have the consistency I needed. I do usually prefer my lip balms in stick form but I needed something thicker and more nourishing. That’s when I ordered the Lip Balm, especially as every man and his dog has been raving about it recently. Good reviews usually push me in the right direction…towards the shopping basket.
I found immediately that I’d been completely wrong about the scent, it’s got a lovely undertone of pink grapefruit that I really love. The formula is very thick but applies smoothly and I find if I smother my lips in it overnight, there’s still lip balm left in the morning. My lips haven’t felt as plump and soft in a long, long time. This stuff is instant holy grail for me, I’ll definitely be picking up another pot when this one runs out. All dryness has gone and it’s like having a new pair of lips – get puckering up guys! 😉
I’d 100% say it’s worth paying just £4 extra for a little pot of heaven.
What’s your favourite go-to lip balm?
Love, Katie xo
