Barry M, a ‘Contour Connoisseur’?

When I think of Barry M, make up doesn’t usually spring to mind. That was until I picked up the Chiseled Cheeks Contour Kit (£6.49) one lunch break after seeing Amelia mention it in a few videos.

The kit is a bargain at £6.49 but is currently £1 off at Boots! It comes with three powder shades – one highlight, a bronzer and the cool-toned contour shade. You can do a complete face with this one kit which makes it even more of a bargain. The colours are extremely pigmented and blend really well which is what it’s all about really.

Let’s start with the lightest shade, the highlight which is an unusual one – it’s part setting/brightening powder, part glowy shimmer. It is the perfect mix of the two which means you give your face a lit from within feel.
The bronzer looked a little scary in the pan as it’s quite a dark, rusty shade but don’t let that scare you. It gives a natural warmth to the skin and you can really work it around the face to add shape. The shade is also warm enough to act almost as a blush as it gives a good colour to the face.
The contour is very cool toned, as you’d expect which gives natural depth to the face and can be used lightly for a subtle, every day contour or really built up for that full-on contour look.
I have been reaching for this on a daily basis and I couldn’t be more impressed with the versatility of the palette especially considering how affordable it is. If you’ve been eyeing up the Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Kit but could do with sparing the price tag, then you would do well to pick this one up instead.
Have you picked this up?
