Avene Soothing Moisture Mask

avene-soothing-moisture-mask-review
I’ve always enjoyed face masks, whether they’re a 10 minute veil resembling something out of a B-List horror movie or an overnight treatment, I’m pretty much all over it.

I try to use a mask at least once a week, sometimes laziness can get in the way and a quick, minimal effort mask is all I need. I picked up the Avene Soothing Moisture Mask last month and I’ve been using it quite regularly ever since. The warmer weather tends to try my skin out and my face gets particularly sensitive as I have more prominent allergies in the summer.
Usually, I buy products based on reading reviews but I bought this on a whim, having never read a review. Sometimes, I like to be a bit of a rebel and hope for the best. Thankfully, it was a good whim and I’ve really been enjoying using it. The mask doesn’t particularly have a scent, however I do find it very hypo-allergenic feeling but in a nice way. I apply a few blobs around my face and lightly dab around my skin – it instantly feels refreshing and cooling on the skin. I can definitely see this in my carry on bag when I go away. The mask is clear so sadly, there’s no fright factor! The idea is to leave it on for a good 10-15 minutes before tissuing off. I apply this on an evening and sleep with it on, just as I would the Origins Drink Up Intensive Overnight Mask. In fact, this is a very similar product but much more suited to sensitive skins and it’s also much more purse friendly.
When I wake, my skin feels much plumper and hydrated which is exactly what I wanted it to do. It also reduces any redness in my skin, especially on my cheeks and under my eyes where I tend to get slightly drier, irritated patches during this time of the year.
What masks are you loving?
