FOTD | Autumn purple (collaboration)

Apologies for the severe lack of posts recently, if you’ve read this post, then you’ll have an idea of why I’ve sadly not been as pro-active as I’d like. I’m hoping to find my mojo once again and have lots of posts scheduled, especially when I’m in Australia.

So, back to today’s, very photo based post – as it’s now October – jeez – it felt appropriate for an Autumn related make up post, right?
What better way to do so than with a collaboration – more on that later 😉
Let’s start with the eyes, I’ve been wearing my Charlotte Tilbury The Vintage Vamp Luxury Palette pretty much non-stop since I bought it last month. It has the most beautiful purple tones to it that really make my green eyes pop. I absolutely adore the palette and in my opinion, it’s worth the steep £38 price tag completely. I tend to apply the lightest shade all over the lid and focus the two darker, plum shades in my crease and outer corner. I really smoked it out under my eyes to add more definition and emphasise the green of my eyes. For liner, I used my current go-to pen – Oriflame The One Stylo– it’s the perfect amount of colour, longevity and it’s easy to use. Mascara wise, I used my trusty Bourjois Volume 1 Seconde which gives good volume, length and definition without much effort. I added a little Stila Smudge Stick Waterproof Eyeliner in Damsel which I placed in my tight line and water line for added depth.

Whilst the main focus wasn’t on the skin, it needed to be pretty flawless. I used NARS Sheer Glow in Santa Fe which gives a really perfected base and added a touch of L’Oreal True Match Concealer where needed.
Cheek wise,  I used my trusty combo of NARS Laguna Bronzer and Bobbi Brown Illuminating Bronzer in Pink Peony. Sure, Autumn is where you may skip the bronzer but not in the SugarfixxBeauty household I’m afraid!
For the lips, I used a mix of MAC Heroine, which is by far the brightest purple shade I own and layered some of the BiteBeauty Lipgloss in no12 which came with their Deconstructed Rose Lip Library for a deeper, more berry effect.
I did this post in collaboration with the lovely Emma at Not Your Average, here’s a little preview of her post which you should check out here!
I hope you enjoyed the post!
Love, Kate xo
