Maybelline 24hr Color Tattoos - £4.99
Ever since I bought On and On Bronze I've found myself strangely gravitated to the Maybelline 24hr Color Tattoos despite their mis-mash of a colour range. I have four in all, the other 3 of which are featured in this post. Saying that, I don't really see myself buying any others unless they come out with more shades.
Firstly, as I've said before the formula of these is so beyond the drugstore quality you'd expect. They're absolutely brilliant in fact. I've not tried any other drugstore cream eyeshadows but can definitely say these are better than the MAC Paintpots. *bold statement alert* Don't get me wrong, I love me a Paintpot and MAC equilvalent are lovely - they havr great colours and last quite well but there's something about these Maybelline ones that just seems to tip the iceberg.
They're well pigmented, in fact they build up wonderfully and blend equally as well. They dry quickly but do not crisp or crease in anyway. They feel much thicker than a Paintpot and transfer with little product required. I find myself using these day in day out, either on their own or as a base for other eyeshadows.
Pink Gold - This is my latest shade, a super soft and subtle shimmery pink that reminds me of an old Benefit eyeshadow I used to wear religiously during 6th form. It's a lovely wash of colour and a perfect inner corner / third highlight shade. It's not in anyway garish or too Barbie which makes it all the more perfect.
Permanent Taupe - My only matte shade of the bunch which is probably why I'm more inclined to use it as a base for other eyeshadows than on its own. It kind of lacks the beauty that the others have but it's still got the staying powder and creaseless finish. This shade is more on the grey side of life rather than taupe as I don't see much brown going on there.
Metallic Pomegranate - If ever you wanted to find a match made in eyeshadow heaven it would be this shade and MAC Cranberry Eyeshadow. This shade is the perfect autumn shade, as seen by my latest tutorial. It's a darkened, pinky almost aubergine/cranberry shade (make your mind up Katie) that has lovely specks of glitter through it which are suprisingly not too chunky nor does it have any fall out.
Have you tried these?
