MAC Lady Danger Lipstick - £15.00
It's quite apparent that I'm a bit of a MAC lipstick fiend and after a 20 minute video on the subject I don't think I can deny it. As the price of MAC lipsticks seems to be ever increasing, I haven't been adding much to my collection as of late. However, I did add to my Matte finish lipsticks with a cheeky purchase of Lady Danger back in July. I'd been wanting a really vibrant, seriously pigmented red as I've been feeling more daring as of late. Well on the red front anyway.
After swatching for what felt like an eternity, I decided on Lady Danger which was probably the most pigmented of them all. The shade is what I'd call a "tomato red" - an orange toned red that I think gives my teeth an extra bit of whiteness, not as much as a blue toned red would but there's a difference for sure. I absolutely adore this shade, it's perfect for all year round and I'm definitely going to be wearing this on nights out as it is extremely long wearing.
As it is a matte shade, there's almost zero sheen and the finish is very long lasting. I don't find the formula too drying as it has a bit of slip to it rather than feeling like chalk on my lips. The colour is, as I've said seriously pigmented so definitely not one for the faint hearted. This shade would suit all skin tones and hair colours, it's a really versatile shade and I'm literally in awe every time I look at it.
Do you have this shade or a similar one?
Love, Katie xo
